Evelyn's Cafe Bar | NQ, Manchester

25 April 2017

You May have seen a couple of pictures of my Instagram of a beautiful white and green space. That white and green space is Evelyn's Cafe Bar in the Northern Quarter and it is high time you knew about it.

Previously a newsagents, the cafe bar is one of the prettiest in Manchester and has an extremely interesting menu with dishes including laksa, masala hake and bucatini pasta.

The rumour is that Chef Byron Moses created the menu to be healthy, but not in a preachy way, just delicious meals that you can enjoy, full of flavour, but that are also going to make you feel good.

I went with Stephanie, pictured above, of A Cup of Creative (and also one of my best friends), we went for a coffee and cake. We both ended up going for the Lime, Avocado and Honey Cheesecake, which I would thoroughly recommend. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it was most definitely mine! It was so silky and wasn't too sweet and the fact that it can even be said within the same realm as healthy is amazing!

We saw some food coming out that all looked so tasty and fresh, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to tell you what it all was or recommend anything. Don't worry, I will be going back soon and will definitely update, or please let me know in the comments if you have tried and loved anything.

The atmosphere was relaxed, but definitely had a fancy-ish feel about it, somewhere that you really could throw on a dress you love and get out for a lovely brunch.

With a bar opening in the basement soon and so many tempting dishes I haven't tried yet, it is safe to say that if you see me in Manchester, it is more than likely to be here for the foreseeable future.
