Tuesday Trend Watch: Tattooed Brides

When I was planning my first tattoo, I kept coming up against the same question; what are you going to do on your wedding day? People seemed obsessed with this idea that as long as I could cover up my tattoo, a part of me, on one of the most important days of my life then everything would be fine.

Well, I'm calling this out.

Tattoos can be the most personal thing you can do, they become a part of you, a decoration on your skin that could represent a time in your life, or could just represent a beatiful piece of artwork.

And why not celebrate that on your wedding day?

That Christmas Feeling!

It's the 4th of December everyone! I am sure you all know that, but I have to keep constantly reminding myself because I am pretty sure I am stuck somewhere in October. I am a Christmas person, a Christmas nerd, a Christmas obsessive. However, the older I get, the less it seems to feel like Christmas so I am going to drown myself in Christmas spirit until I Christmas day is here and I get slightly merry on mulled wine with the people I love most in the world.

Step 1 of Christmas Spirit, a Christmas playlist.

These are just a few of the songs I love at Christmas, I realised writing this blog that if I don't stickt to five songs, I will be here all day.

What's your favourite Christmas song? x

Hello December!

Here we are, officially at the last month of 2015! December is my favourite month of the year, full of excitement, romance and the promise of something special. It's a time for love, family and making memories.

And whilst I am tragically single, that does not mean that I am looking forward to the festivities any less! My family are the absolute best thing in my life, with my friends following a close second. I have plenty of people in my life that I love, and I am incredibly thankful for that and never feel luckier than around Christmas time. However, if someone wants to meet me by the mistletoe, who am I to stop them?

One thing I am struggling with this year, however, is a present for my mum! She is the hardest person in the world to buy for so any suggestions of what you are bying for your mums would be more than welcome.

My December To-Do List:

1. Ice Skating

A staple for any winter, get those skates on and have the best time falling over spectacularly.

Can We Just Talk About: After You

I'll admit it, I was incredibly sceptical of a sequel to Me Before You. I did not see how Jojo Moyes could match the emotion that kept me up crying until 4am trying to finish the book.

I was wrong.

The book itself is beautifully written and I could not feel more connected to the protagonist Louisa as I moved on from Will at the same pace she did, and could completely understand her motives for the moves she made.

Whilst it doesn't have the emotional punch that the first one does, it really was a good read and felt like closure for both Louisa and myself as a reader, and I was incredibly satisfied both by the book and by knowing what happened in the next stage of Louisa's life.

Also, if you're looking for Christmas presents, I would strongly suggest either this for someone who has read Me Before You, or them both together to introduce someone to the beautoful story of Louisa and Will.

What did you think? x
